Sign up for a 14-day free trial from our homepage. No credit card required. Enter your company info (USDOT number is optional), and your account is ready to go. If you provide a USDOT number, we auto-configure your fleet settings on first login.
Your account switches to read-only mode. You can still view all your data, but you won't be able to add vehicles or submit filings. Your data is never deleted. Pick a plan whenever you're ready and everything picks up right where you left off.
No. Your USDOT number is optional at signup. You can add it later from your dashboard. If you do provide it during registration, we'll auto-configure your fleet settings on first login.
When you enter a VIN, DOCKEX automatically fills in the year, make, model, fuel type, and GVWR. This saves time and reduces data entry errors, especially during bulk imports.
IRP is a multi-jurisdiction vehicle registration agreement covering the 48 contiguous U.S. states and DC. Commercial vehicles operating in two or more member jurisdictions must file apportioned registration with their base state. Fees are distributed to each state based on the proportion of miles you operate there.
IFTA simplifies fuel tax reporting for interstate commercial carriers. You file quarterly returns with your base jurisdiction reporting fuel purchased and miles traveled in each IFTA jurisdiction. DOCKEX calculates your net tax due or refundable per jurisdiction for each quarter and prepares your return.
IFTA returns are due four times per year: January 31 (Q4), April 30 (Q1), July 31 (Q2), and October 31 (Q3). DOCKEX surfaces these deadlines in your compliance calendar and prepares your returns before each due date.
In Oklahoma, on Professional and Business plans, Dockex prepares and files your IRP and IFTA under a signed power of attorney. You review and authorize each submission before it goes out. Outside Oklahoma, you get the tracker and prepared packets until we launch direct submission in your state. Federal filings — 2290 and UCR — you start in-app on every plan.
Yes. You can upload ELD data and DOCKEX extracts jurisdiction mileage automatically. This feeds directly into your IFTA quarterly return calculations, so you don't have to manually sort miles by state.
DOCKEX takes your fuel purchases and miles traveled per jurisdiction, then calculates the net tax due or refundable for each state. The platform handles the math so you can review the numbers and authorize filing.
Four plans: Starter at $79/mo (up to 25 vehicles), Professional at $249/mo (up to 100 vehicles, Dockex files for you), Business at $599/mo (up to 500 vehicles, 3% commission, dedicated support), and Enterprise (custom pricing for 500+ vehicles — see /enterprise). API, webhooks, and the driver portal are on every plan. AI fleet insights come in on Professional and up — every plan gets the weekly digest. Tiers differ by vehicle cap, renewal quota, commission rate, and whether Dockex files for you. Annual billing saves about 17%, bringing costs to $790, $2,490, and $5,990 per year respectively.
Yes, anytime from your dashboard. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. Mid-cycle upgrades are prorated, so you only pay the difference for the remaining days.
Cancel anytime from your dashboard. You'll keep full access through the end of your current billing period. After that, your account goes read-only. Your data is never deleted.
We accept credit cards via Stripe (PCI DSS Level 1 certified). All billing is handled securely through Stripe's payment infrastructure.
Registration renewals are included in your plan: 10/month on Starter, 30/month on Professional, unlimited on Business. Extra renewals past your quota are billed as overage — $10 each on Starter, $5 each on Professional. Commission applies to new registrations and title transfers only: 4% on Starter and Professional, 3% on Business, with volume discounts kicking in at 31+ filings (3%), 101+ (2%), and 300+ (1.5%). Duplicate titles are a flat $5 service fee, not a commission. Plate replacements are free on Pro and Business, $15 on Starter. Trailer renewals run $2 each with automatic volume discounts. Government fees always pass through at cost with no markup.
You can add vehicles one at a time through the dashboard or bulk-import using a CSV file. A CSV template is available to download from the fleet dashboard. Either way, VIN decode auto-fills year, make, model, fuel type, and GVWR.
Yes. Vehicles and trailers are tracked separately but with the same level of detail. Each gets its own compliance tracking, document storage, and 11 detail tabs.
You can upload titles, registration certificates, insurance cards, and inspection reports for each vehicle. Documents are stored in AWS S3 with access controls, and you can access them from the vehicle's detail view anytime.
Registration expiry, insurance certificates, DOT inspections, annual inspections, permits, CDL expiry, and medical certificate expiry. You get alerts at 60, 30, 15, and 7 days before each deadline, plus a fleet compliance score with an A through F letter grade.
Title transfers, registration renewals, new registrations, duplicate titles, and plate replacements. DOCKEX prepares and processes each filing. You review and authorize before anything is submitted.
Most filings are completed within a few business days. You'll receive status updates throughout the process so you always know where things stand.
No. Government fees are passed through at cost with zero markup. You only pay the DOCKEX filing fee on top of whatever the state charges.
Filing records are retained for a minimum of 4 years, consistent with IRP and IFTA audit lookback requirements. Financial records are retained for 7 years. You can export your data at any time.
Yes. Each driver gets their own login. Fleet managers invite drivers via email from the dashboard. Drivers can view their compliance status, upcoming deadlines, and submit requests without needing access to the full fleet dashboard.
Drivers can submit maintenance requests and incident reports (with photo uploads), and view their own compliance status and upcoming deadlines. They can't see other drivers' data or fleet-wide settings.
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). Payments are handled by Stripe (PCI DSS Level 1). Documents are stored in access-controlled AWS S3 buckets.
Yes. You can export your fleet data at any time from the dashboard. Your data belongs to you, whether your account is active or in read-only mode.
